To help add texture, the fireplace is finished in a light stone veneer. A good option would be one of the lighter stone colors similar to this. The addition of a wall-anchored pergola helps ground & add focus to the front sitting area. The inner-courtyard hardscape features a diamond turf grid pattern. And the orange driveway brick has been replaced with a pea gravel that can be locked in place with a rock glue spray.

Not shown is a pea gravel path connecting the driveway to the center walkway between the courtyard fence/hedge and a row of flowering grass (african iris, white knock-out roses, etc..).

The courtyard pillars are a brick finished in matching paint (Ben Moore Balboa Mist). The trim, porch pillars, & pergola are a more soft white (Ben Moore Ice Mist) for some contrast. And the wooden fence & gate are finished in the accent color of SW Mega Greige. *Testing the colors in the real world is recommended.
